Inbound Investment Survey - August 2019
The U.S. business climate and employment expectations slump in light of growing trade uncertainty.
According to the August 2019 survey, the U.S. business climate and employment expectations are down. Today, nearly half (47 percent) of GBA CFOs believe the U.S. business climate is “getting worse” when compared to six months ago. CFOs indicate trade tensions, skills gap, protectionism and infrastructure are among the areas of greatest concern.
Despite continued concern over the Administration’s trade policies, the vast majority (88 percent) of CFOs at exporting companies indicate their company will continue exporting at current or higher levels over the next two years.
