FDI in the United States, Quarter Three 2022

Foreign direct investment in the United States totaled $85 billion in the third quarter 2022. Net equity flows were increased 16 percent to $34 billion in third-quarter 2022 from the previous quarter. Reinvestment of earnings, at $52 billion, accounted for 61 percent of FDIUS flows this past quarter.
